On track: acondas strategy meeting in Palma de Majorca

Three times a year, the entire acondas team – located in Düsseldorf, Berlin, Munich and Hamburg – comes together to share experiences made during the last months, to discuss new topics and to derive the next development steps. A highlight event had been scheduled in our calendars for the end of September 2019: The strategy meeting in Palma de Majorca.

The strategy day focussed on transferring the knowledge resulting from the second cycle of agile acondas. One year ago, acondas launched a strategic development initiative and formed agile teams, which acquire and prepare specialist and methodical knowledge to apply in client projects.


Within the second iteration the knowledge teams worked on the topics “operative improvement programs”, “HR target operating model” and “project and change management within digitalization programs”. The teams developed the following concepts, among others:


  • acondas NEXT®, an innovative approach for the initiation, implementation and execution of operative improvement programs
  • an implementation concept in order to transform HR organizations successfully in the environment of digitalization and war for talents
  • an integrated approach, which anchors change management within the overall steering of digitalization programs


The functional teams “marketing and sales”, “training and learning”, “project and change management” and  “initiatives and continuous improvement” presented and discussed their results (such as new sales formats, an extended social media concept and the introduction of 360-degree feedback). In an interactive “world café”-format the teams welcomed further suggestions from their colleagues.


Thereafter, the knowledge topics of the upcoming third cycle of agile acondas were defined: In the context of our two knowledge areas “organizational development” and “digital transformation”, we will focus on target operating model for further functional areas and on the ideal design of a customer journey by the example of electric mobility. After an intense strategic day, the acondas team enjoyed the evening with a barbeque at a Majorcan Finca.


On Saturday, the program was filled with team building activities: The acondas team explored the beauty of the whole island Majorca in a Jeep Safari and gathered interesting facts about Majorca.
