acondas Strategy Meeting and Training

Once a year the whole acondas team retreats from project work for a few days to discuss and promote internal topics, develop their own expertise and exchange ideas. This year the three-day offsite event focused on further developing leadership and project management skills.

The project management training especially addressed the soft skills to lead people in project contexts: building up and developing powerful project teams, moderating workshops, solving conflicts as well as preparing and fostering decisions. As in all other acondas trainings the learning content was directly practiced using real-life case studies and project examples. All participants had the chance to apply lessons learned in small groups and subsequently reflect in group discussions to achieve the maximum learning success.

In parallel acondas employees with managerial responsibility took part in leadership training. The training dealt with the “What” and “How” of leadership. The specific leadership model of acondas was presented and the roles of a leader were discussed. Afterwards the participants could rehearse various leadership styles in different management situations. In diverse and interactive role plays and exercises the lessons learned could be applied in practice.

Both trainings were conducted by a mixed group of trainers: Besides the acondas founders and General Managers Joerg Fengler and Andreas Florissen the external management coaches Thomas Weil and Dragan Milicevic accompanied the trainings and brought in their extensive know-how.

As always, the exchange among all employees in a relaxed atmosphere played an important role – including a dinner on a historic vineyard and a catamaran tour.
