Insights into the Work of a Strategy Implementation Consultancy
The theme of our second day at the BDSU anniversary congress was “Insights into the work of a strategy implementation consultancy”. We held a half-day case study workshop with a selected group of 25 student consultants from across Germany. acondas was represented by Janina Kleinloh, Tobin Maurer, Stefan Gloggner and Andreas Florissen. They brought along a practical case study focusing on post-merger integration.
At the beginning of the event, acondas founder and CEO Andreas Florissen invited the participants “to take a look behind the scenes of strategy implementation consulting together with us”. After a short introduction to how acondas was founded and its special consulting approach, the implementation field of post-merger integration and acondas’s proprietary PMI implementation model, “acondas ONE” were introduced.
Next, the student consultants were invited to contribute to a consulting team at a (fictitious) energy company working on two post-merger integration topics: In the first case study, they derived, evaluated and prioritized synergy measures, and in the second case study, the task was to convince a manager of the necessity and agree on a process for corporate cultural analysis and cultural integration measures. “We were particularly impressed by the lively exchange of ideas and how the student consultants developed and presented their work,” says Janina Kleinloh.
In the end, all participants agreed: It was a very successful event, which more than fulfilled expectations on both sides. We extend a big thank you to the BDSU organization team for their excellent planning and support of the events on both days.
We look forward to seeing the participants again in the context of our student events and workshop formats at the individual universities – or also gladly as future additions to our team :)
